I do not think that Lott's deal will play big in two years, as far as the presidential race goes. . President Bush has already proven he is not racist by his own apointees and actions.

Doesnt look to me at this early stage as if the Dems HAVE a decent presidential candidate. Being a fellow Viet Vet I initially had some interest in Kerry, but the more I see him and hear him the more I get this QUEASY FEELING about him. At this point that Edwards looks best but probably needs some more exposure in National politics. Unless Bush steps on his ..... I think he will be a shooin in 2004. jdn

Gore is gone, but the Democrats can still present a "Bum of the Month Club", that can keep Bush in fighting trim, despite the lack of a legitimate contender anywhere on the horizon...
