Greetings Coots,
As long as there is discussion about carriers, here's my latest experience.
Had 4 lines w/ Verizon spending about $150 per month. Knocked it down to 3 on the minmum $15 per month(that's 25 minutes and 250 weekend) mainly for my 80 year old mother and wife only for emergencies, then my old QCP-820 because transfering the # will be a pain, but after a couple of months I'll use it in the business on a delivery truck that needs very little talk time..
Added PCS 2000 minutes for $85. 1 A500; 2 LG 5350 all these with vision capabilities; then added a Samsung SPH-A460 beacuse it looked OK, was FREE after rebates, and fell into my bucket of minutes. The Sprint phones have I think unlimited phone to phone time. The rebates were quite good.
All total, I figure I now have 7 wireless phones, 2 carriers, a zillion minutes, far better long distance coverage for about the same $ I am used to spending. Probably never would have left verizon if they had kept up.

I know, TMI <g>
