If you are really buying this thesis, pray tell, what industries are you going to buy which are going to grow like gangbusters without the US consumer??

Tippet, first off, please spare me the attitude. I took a large, leveraged tech position in October and made a mint. Now I am just questioning where we go from here. I am less concerned with the US consumer, since I am buying capex equipment stocks. The last time we had valuations at this level in tech was the early 90s. Now, that was a correction in a bull market so you could say that was an overvalued period. Nonetheless, in the early 90s- the dollar was falling, tech sales were going up and tech stocks went up.
