You're absolutely on the button..a trial may or may not result in a sale. But I think the point was that at least there *are* trials now!
I can't recall anyone announcing any sort of trail for the past 12-15 months. Hopefully these will result in some sort of revenue. Seeing how Silicon Valley companies have been brutally cutting costs, any uptick in rev should be followed quickly by a bigger uptick in profits.
