So far, what do you consider to be well done?

Tax cuts, leadership in response to 9/11, aggressively conducting the war on terror, opening up at least a possibility of Iraq being disarmed of its WMD.

I think your second item is correct, and the third is partially correct.......I don't believe the War on Terrorism is being waged as aggressively as it could be.

I think his tax cut was poorly conceived. It was sold to the American public as helping us get out of recession when, in fact, its greatest impact will be realized 8 or 9 years out and it will benefit mainly the rich. From those in the know, I understand it also was poorly written.

In general, I think his foreign diplomacy sucks. I believe his handling of Iraq was too much too soon. The Israeli/Palestinian mess continues to smolder. I think Iraq is a second tier problem and that there are more important fish to fry like Al Qaeda. While Iraq has the potential for nukes so do other rogue nations; or worse, they have them already.

The worst part of all of this is that there is growing evidence that Al Qaeda has regrouped and are stronger than ever notwithstanding General Ten's comments..........that pretty much neutralizes all of our efforts to date in Afghanistan.

To add insult to injury, he wants to spend a fortune going after rogue nations and then he also wants to spend billions on Star Wars............the US budget is very quickly becoming a financial mess.

His economic policies are pretty non existent or ineffectual as evidenced by the recent firings of his Sec. of the Treasury, the head of the SEC, and his economic advisor. It is unclear whether Bush supports a strong or weak dollar which actually is a moot point since its at a 15 year low anyway. Our economy languishes in a netherland between recession and expansion, and while its convenient for Reps. to blame it on the 90s, the current malaise has more to do with benign neglect on the part of the current administration. And yes the president can effect change in the economy in spite of what conservatives say.

What domestic policy is coming out of his administration, and there is very little, most of it is directed usually at the environment to its detriment, and his attitude regarding the environment and global warming seem to change literally with the wind.......apparently so much so, Whitman wants out of her post.

I will stop here.....the more I write, the more pissed I get. I don't mind someone getting kudos for a job well done even if I don't agree with the person. However, Bush is getting a lot of free kudos for 9/11. And yes, he handled that well but at the expense of pretty much everything else.

My point was based on the Lott revelations.

Which are just relevant to Lott possibly being a racist not Bush, and which where exaggerated even in Lotts case. Also Bush strongly condemned the statement by Lott.

They are not exaggerated; he is a racist.

Bush has stirred up the pot with a number of
our enemies or potential enemies, agitated a whole religion, Islam, and has alienated most of our allies.

NK, Iraq and others where acting against our interests before GW, France was not very supportive before Bush, Al Qaeda was attacking Americans before GW, radical Islam was growing and becoming more anti-American before GW...

Well, you managed to skip over Germany, Canada and Russia. There are several more nations but why bother........at the best of times, we are not well loved and frankly, I don't worry about that too much. However, it helps to make some effort to get along with your allies......they are like family. Bush doesn't seem to think so.

As for other Dems being racist, I wouldn't lose any sleep. You'd learn a lot more doing racial background checks on the Reps.

A republican that is openly racist gets condemned by Republicans and practically killed by the Democrats. A Democrat who is racist gets a pass, and if its a black racist then he or she get applause.

What you seem to miss in all of this is that a racist with power is much more dangerous than one without. Without power, Hitler would have been a street corner lunatic. As for Jesse Jackson, I'll take your word he's a racist. I think he's a jerk that only has some support/power within the black community. However, Lott is a Senator and was expected to be the Majority Leader. Those two titles make his racism all that much more deadly.

So please, stop your whining. Reps. have a bad name when it comes to race.........and its from their own doings. Its karma....you get back what you put out.
