You are reaching there, JP. Now I am a hypocrite because I feel I do not "owe" African Americans reparations for slavery. Well, I don't know if you are a hypocrite or not. But I do not think it possible for a real Christian to see his own dang brother and countrymen in a weakened state, crushed by history, and not be moved to dang stand in the gap to defend him when others make fun of and otherwise assault him. I mean, its not as if being black is a sin and yet Christians just dang don't see the point of pouring their strength into weakness as Christ poured His Strength into our weakness. Christians can be some danged selfish mofos in my opinion. Yet, you cannot define what I "owe" them. You owe them a danged changed heart. You need to get your butt out there and defend them in the name of Christ. And you need to let them know its because of what Christ allegedly did for you that you stand with them. And still you are sure I do not wish them life liberty and pursuit of happiness. I don't know what you wish for them. And neither do they. But when they hafta live every dang day with a dang racist sword of Damocles over their head (when we don't), and when they keep having to fear pissing off an elephant (when we don't) and when Christians sit comfortably in the castles of their white skins and declare black people are insisting upon being crushed, well... blacks have no choice but to assume you are not really interested in them being as free as you, but that either you just do not care or that you are even part of the dang elephant that one day must be killed. Now you have slipped into the range of being a snot nosed liberal pinhead. Yeah and you really don't wanna ask me if I care about what dang "range" I done slipped into. I am still being true to the faith. Now you doubt I have any intelligence since I do not agree with your abstract idea of what I owe great great great grandsons of slaves. No. My doubts stem from your insistence on digitizing a history that is in fact a continuum. Well, so you are more intelligent than I... Of course I am. Every dang body knows that. But that does not forbid our having an honest discussion. You no doubt have gifts that I don't have. I don't exactly know what they are, but surely you have them. If you choose to carry your theory that far, then we all better start paying since slavery started WAY THE HECK back yonder, so IMO, there is NO person alive today anywhere in the world that has not benefitted on the backs of slave labor economy. Well that is why we all must pay. Blacks have an obligation to their ancestors' suffering to stop their mindless demands for petty cash and work to fulfill their ancestors dreams. Whites have an obligation to carve a pathway for them AND KEEP THE DANG THING WIDE OPEN UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, EVEN PUTTING BIG SIGNS AND FLASHING LIGHTS ON THE PATH. LOL!!! ok, I give up, I exchange my lunacy for sense and I repent for thinking that I had to work my friggin butt off, and now I see the light in that the slaves provided EVERYTHING we have ever owned....will that do it? Obviously you have alot more lunacy to pay. Give it ALL up, then you will start paying. I have ONE vote, and a voice. I use my vote and my voice to never knowingly vote for a racist of any sort. I cannot control the folks that put David Duke into power, and I have no idea why they would do such a thing. I refuse to go to his website as I do not wish that looney to have my computer "signature". Well that's great. Really. But you know it took a vast system to enslave blacks and keep them enslave. It took another vast system to oppress them in racial discrimmination up even until recent times. I am suggesting that we created another vast system, perhaps via the Christian church, that creates a big ol' cultural pathway with blinking lights and stuff, so that blacks can be welcomed home instead of having to keep groping back for a dang Africa that never friggin' existed for them. But DANG! With "Christians" like you (and there are friggin' lotsa yez), I'm having a dang hard time of it. The dang last are gonna be first, I tell ya. From my understanding, the KKK in America is hardly a force in this day, and as I said, there will always be racists. Yeah. I kinda thought like this too. But then I got to thinking about how blacks have to grow up in a country from day one, being ever aware that white folks are after their heads all the dang time. It just don't matter whether they are a force or not. The mere fact that white folks all over the dang country are after the heads of black folks is too much. So, I'm defending folks. If the dang elephant ever turns on them, then I am gonna make dang sure to pop a dang cap into its friggin' skull, even if it gets me. no, and you still have not defined it. Well, first we need to get the philosophy. Then we can put some details behind it. I have a notion of how it can be repaired, and here it is again: THE AFRICAN AMERICANS WILL NEED TO FORGIVE THE REST OF THE USA AND WORLD FOR MAKING SLAVES OF THEIR ANCESTORS, AND THEN HEALING CAN BEGIN. Well fine. They do need to forgive. But since everything has been taken away, its hard for them.
