i just love the part "I have had to fight all of my life and I am not stopping now," declared Lott, describing himself as the son of a shipyard worker from Pascagoula, Mississippi"

What he doesn't say is just how far removed he is as is the rest of the gang from reality. Lott is everything that is wrong with the politicians of today. We are losing jobs while they are giving themselves pay raises. Even Richard Nixon stepped down for the good of the country and remained ashamed of what he did.

The economy is doomed because the politicians are so self-interested that they are only concerned with staying in power.

Case in point. The high tech industry is finished. HP amongst others is sending the work to India. Even the US government announced they would send work as well. Well just where will the tax dollars come from. The high tech industry has been the backbone of the tax base for the last 20 years. But the computer programmer or engineer who has been forking over 50 % plus of his earnings to the government has no voice. HP can pay off a politicians to bring in low cost workers but where will the tax base be ?

Both parties if they actually cared would put a halt to the open borders but it is to damaging politically so they let it go on. At a time when jobs are being lost how can this country justify feeding new mouths or bringing in new people to cut the legs off of people who have been paying taxes for decades to these pigs. How can the state of California justify paying 1 million dollars to give a long term prisoner a heart transplant. Just what weed are these bureaucrats smoking ?
