That's what makes it fun! Didn't you enjoy Adventure.com more than Myst? You have to use your imagination to communicate that smirk! ...you just can't see the little smirk that sometimes goes with the text. Here I agree with you, and I'm probably as guilty as the next guy. I assume that people are following the line of communication, so I omit stuff that provides the continuity. Sometimes this leads to miscommunication. The history helps if you attach it, but sometimes I just have to go back to the previous message to see what it was we were talking about. The other major disadvantage of the medium, is the tendency of people to abbreviate not only words but sentences and paragraphs assuming the person understands. Lots of mininterpretations on posts throughout SI. Though at times it may be intentional.
