Dear Craig: I cant say whether or not it is "wrong" but it sure as hell is foolish. Just THINK of the HUGE amount of cost for Buses, drivers, gas that could be better spent on better schools for all. I personally grew up in the days of neighborhood schools. From elem thru H.S. I never lived further then a long walk or short bike ride from school. It was not only convenient for me, but I knew every kid in school cause we all lived near one another. Bonds were built that last a lifetime. Today, nobody knows nobody, very impersonal. Might even be one of the reasons for the breakdown of our social fabric in this Nation. JDN
