It seems to be a matter for the USSC now. I doubt there will be any significant AA legislation before Congress unless the USSC decision inspires it.

Affirmative action is the very cornerstone of liberal racism in America. It makes the liberals no better than the Confederate slave holders were-except that they have brainwashed older blacks into supporting AA. Should affirmative action survive court challenges and become precedent, the liberals will have ushered in a new era of black versus non-black racism-with results totally opposite the liberal's "feel good" intentions. And THAT would hardly be news at all.

Or perhaps Trent Lott really IS a racist, and expressed his support for AA because it's the best available vehicle today for the promotion of hatred between blacks and non-blacks...
