Jay, your description of your feast is reminiscent of a Maori hangi [food wrapped in leaves, buried with hot rocks for hours]. Nowadays, they swing by KFC for genuinely finger-lickin' ready-to-roll kai. Unfortunately, the waistlines and diabetes are huge problems as a result. Modernity does require quite a lot of adaptation to succeed. It will be a major challenge too - already the gap between those with and without cyberspace at their fingertips is stretching. Mqurice
