I agree that welfare in all its forms- be it for individuals or companies-may end up becoming inefficient drags on economies and stifle ambition and creativity.

I am more neutral about people who compare the current US to Nazi Germany. On one hand, and in some ways, I see these people as patriotic defenders of our liberty, where by their super vigilance and active imaginations they help ward off even worse crimes.

On the other hand I can see peoples point, especially those who may have lived through such crimes, and how accusations of "Nazism" might trivialize and marginalize their experiences. I can also see that accusing one of being a "Nazi" has become simply a reactionary response, a crutch to lean on when one may observe budding fascism. Perhaps more thought out responses could be used, instead of relying on the obvious and tired Nazi reference.
