>regime change in Iraq will do miracles to the US economy and the USD<

iraq is an excuse.....resolution of the problems in iraq wont solve the problem of excess capacity in the us....cause any more cars to be sold or any more homes to be built or refinanced with equity extracted or reduce consumer debt load or strengthen the dollar with the fed in full reflation mode

Yeah, all encompassing civil war in that region between Kurds, Iraqi Shiites, Turkey, and Iran will do wonders for the US economy.

An 80% Shiite Iraqi majority will do wonders for US policy in that region also, especially if there is a democratic government.

Note how well respected the US puppet in Afghanistan is in his own country. If the US leaves for 1-day he's a dead man at the hands of his own citizens.

I love it when the US calls for democracy in areas that have an 80% Shiite majority. The US loves democracy, unless it's the wrong kind.

See this for what it is - the only card Bush can play for re-election in 2004. If Karl Rove didn't want war, we wouldn't be moving towards it.

This is just politics. If Iraq's WMD were toy plastic Jedi swords, we'd still be doing this.
