It's not much of a storm anyway. I have been following this and, though I never thought Lott was any good as a political tactician, nor too bright as a person, I just don't see WHAT enemies he has made that he didn't have before. And NO case has been successfully made that either his party or the administration is harmed whether he keeps the leadership position or not (leaving the Senate would be another matter). The enemies were already deployed-and are STILL deployed. Remove Lott from his post, and that deployment remains the same.

After all, Mort Kondrake doesn't vote in Mississippi..
