I think she had a fashion consultant once... didn't go down well.

It's Hilary Clinton syndrome among the RW fringe, if you can't attack the politics then attack the wife. (She's also a skilled and very bright barrister with political ambitions, more LW than husband... uncanny).
She's undeniably behaved stupidly though, over getting some friend's boyfriend to do some kind of deal to get her son a flat at a good price: turns out he was a convicted fraudster. Like, wow. It was years before, completely unrelated, no reason really she'd even know.
No crime committed here, no sign of anything corrupt or unethical, by any standard, but the impression is sleazy: plus the usual govt. instinct to cover up, conceal and obfuscate made things 10x worse...

She's OK, I guess. I'm not a fan, but don't have any problem with her. The Col Blimp tendency, "a woman should be making cakes or making babies not out working" can't stand success, IMO.
