<<And another thing that bothers me is if he did it to "commit suicide" as some are convinced, how did he know for sure the store owner or guard would shoot to kill him?>> Security guards don't say "drop that gun or i will shoot" too often, i suspect.
Could he know absolutely he would be shot? No, but he knew it was highly likely. Max

I used to be an armed guard and was a pretty good shot, and if and when my time ever came where I would have to shoot another human being, I would have tried my best not to kill the person if at all possible.... and of course that is not always possible

If the other guy had a gun, I find that it highly unlikely that you as a security guard in the big city wouldn't unload a whole clip in the dood. If I'm going to point a gun at someone, I don't plan on them being around later to discuss how I used it.

P.S. You keep presuming that Tim was in a rational state of mind. He picked up a *plastic* gun and attempted robbery, not something someone of Tim's *normal* mental state would do. The guy wasn't rational and whether or not he intended suicide or just to get some attention is absolutely a moot point.

>>I will never forget the time<<

That is a terrible story, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it hadn't traumatized you for life. Jeez, Louise.
