I couldn't agree more, X. Thanks for that comment.

I'm not too pleased, to be honest, with the apparent insistence (explicit or implicit) that some aspect of every one of the proposals involves a "cultural" exhibit, center, theater, museum, etc. Perhaps only because it's an emotional subject for me, I detect a hint of apologism in even suggesting the "necessary" inclusion of such.

If anything, I'd dedicate the WTC site exclusively to celebrating American culture, as it is...but so long as the buildings are as tall or taller than their predecessors and present another place to stand as a symbol of economic power and from which to project the same...well, I can stomach it.
