If you have technology and the management stops it from being used to the fullest, it does matter. Sorry state, but true. PCS had data as early as 1996, but would not roll it out until 1999 because they continued to look for the killer app. Sad but true. they could have been promoting and developing data all that time and had one of the largest leads ever, but blew it while a conservative management sat on it and looked for that one killer app which would fund the entire roll out. Meanwhile people like me presented them wiht data customers who could fund it as a whole group, not as one single app and they scoffed at it.
