Terry >I am in hopes that the short-sellers really get on the wagon tomorrow. The only problem they may have is finding and mining all that gold that they will need to pay it back

Since you said it, I do think this present rise, if one can call it that, is being driven by something --- and I'm not talking about all that crap spewed by the "experts" telling us of the coming war in Iraq.

>If I can afford the gas to keep it going, I could be kept in clean clothes and food for years to come.

It's not for me to tell anyone their business or even put ideas in their head but I think this present jump in the POG indicates that there could be a lot more of the same ahead. I say this because all the "experts" I hear on TV are uniformly bearish and negative and keep talking about the limited upside and the big downside.

Gold shares may be something else because I think gold share holders are generally very skittish and view their holdings more like a male rabbit views a female rabbit (quick in and out) and not as something to be kept for the longer term.

"... getting close [but] still afraid to look..."
.
- a true very short story -
.
The night arrived to the house waiting,
as wanton Terry came home wanting but waning,
as he wandered as if just waken,
Terry was taken by an abduction of steam
pouring out of all the cracks in the walls,
and Terry shouted
"I am still afraid to look to see if the pot is boiling."
that returned with the echo
From: Searle Sennett: "This gold market is boiling."
