Bring a heating pad and muscle relaxers.

Don't bring the scotch because the booze is very reasonable in Canada.

You might want to include some kind of cushion for your butt. I'm serious. It's not as intuitive as skiing.

Rubber boots? Am I missing something? Is that like a rubber ducky for the hot tub afterwards?

Welcome to the Great NW! Come on down here when you are partied out up there....<g>

Kerry wasn't kidding about the butt padding. They may even rent butt gear pads up there.
Here's the gig...no matter how bad you want to stand up straight, don't do it. Stay down low to the ground with your knees bent so you don't fall so far from catching an edge on the board. Always try to be on your toes or your heels turning....when you fall unexpectedly (which will happen) you either end up sticking your hands out and tweaking your wrists or shoulders OR you land on your ass and either way it hurts.

Of course if you are off the groomed in powder it is a totally different type of sensation, but you should get used to turning first before that or you will end up stuck in the snow in a flat spot using all your energy to get out. That really sucks.

Have fun.
