You said, "it makes sense to make racial diversity a factor in hiring". I asked why. All you've provided are examples of how a person of color can help in certain jobs. Obviously, that doesn't speak to the question at hand. What you should have stated is, "It makes sense to make racial diversity a factor in hiring in positions where having employees of diverse races is important to the mission." That we can all agree with.
