From talking to my friend in the app server group, the problems that Michael was mentioning are understood (and have been for some time by my friend, but inertia and politics got in the way), and fixing them is a high priority. And I agree that this is an important emerging market where ORCL has a chance to do quite well, if they will fix their product. I'm hoping that the sales reorg will result in salespeople rubbing engineering managers' noses in the mess until they fix it...
