On CPE, for those who simply must own this name, it looks to be bottoming here, but not necessarily turning. Sumbuddy was interested in doing a DCB on this name; problem is it looks like somebody else let the air out of this basketball on the way down. It's got 121,000 shares short (3.8%, per Yahoo). Maybe there's a good fundamental long term hold strategy on this one (Ed Ajootian??) but I don't think this one is a stocking stuffer this year. Your opinion?

Lott resigns (as was foretold in the stars); sic transit gloria mississippiensis. Time to shut down the pork express to Pascagoula?

Best thing for the GOP is to get that pinata out of the majority leader seat, especially after he came out in favor of (yecccch) affirmative action, otherwise known as "racism is okay if it's the right kind of racism."

Yup, I need more quality time, but yesterday I had to run out to a used car dealer and look at a potential car for someone coming to town for 8 weeks. Here's the story: if you rent one, you get to pay about $1500 for the use and abuse of a car (with taxes and insurance about $187 per week), whereas if you can buy a reasonable vehicle for about $2,000 (1995 Kia Sephia with 90,000 miles), insure it and then sell it at the end of the 8 weeks for, say, $1500, you come out way ahead.

Any tips on this process, please p.m. me, 'cause I have to act fast for these friends.
