I went to the S&W .40 when the counsels in Jeeps got too small for my S&W model 29 .44 mag. A couple of years ago I stopped at a convience store in a bad area. When I came out I was blocked in by two cars full of Black 20 somes. 6 males and 3 females. Ok, I can wait and they were drunk. 3 guys were about to get lucky and all 6 were strutting their stuff trying to be one of the lucky 3. I was just waiting for when they were going to be showing who was tough enough to get whitey. I slid the loaded clip into the .40 and felt a lot better. After a few minutes the girls decided they could pull doubleheaders and off they went. But I felt really secure after loading up.
