Hi, Jay

The script for the movie is yours as it was first published on SI. When the producers will approach you ask for payments in nuggets not paper. Hope you will send me invitation for the preview.

IMHO there are two reasons for your scenario:

1. Eroding confidence in the financial system (people starting to be afraid that fiat money will follow the fate of stocks and their pensions)
2. Global search for the investment with potential. This is spread more between small investors than big houses who rather take short term speculative positions.

In the end there is only around 100.000 tons ever mined, potential rise in price is almost unlimited.

Possible defence for those who sold the gold is to print, print and one more time print and make a daily prayer people will not ask for the delivery.

See you at the movie
Marek
