Socksy, a black mongrel, runs towards the Memon Mosque when the muezzin calls out the faithful for azaan, and begins to wail in tune.

A friend once demonstrated to me how if he would put on Kansas' song « Carry on Wayward Son », his dog would plant himself in front of the stereo speaker and wail.... it was really striking, as if an instinct hardwired in, but apparently limited to just that one recording.

we have a nuke power plant close to where I live. 1st Monday every month, at 2pm, the sirens go on as a test.

every dog in the neighborhood howls alongside those sirens.

what ya want to make of it ?
