The end-to-end Nokia solution gives mobile users the chance to enjoy advanced person-to-person messaging that blends text, images, graphics, voice and audio clips into a single message.

The agreement calls for the supply of a complete MMS solution, including the Nokia MMS Center, the Nokia Multimedia Terminal Gateway for non-MMS phones, the Nokia WAP Gateway, the Nokia Terminal Management Server and the Nokia Profile Server.

The Nokia solution has been delivered and is fully operational.

In addition to the MMS platform, Nokia is providing operator services for implementation, Help-Desk, Emergency Support, software and hardware support and maintenance to ensure and maintain the competitiveness of the MMS solution. Operations support systems (OSS) support is also included.

"We are happy to expand and deepen our long-term relationship with Orange with this important deal," says Pertti Melamies, Senior Vice President, Nokia Networks. "We are fully committed to support Orange to make the mobile multimedia messaging a complete success in Denmark, paving the way to 3G."

Nokia has among the wireless industry's most extensive track record in MMS with over 40 customers to date and an ever-growing number of launched systems, making multimedia messaging a reality for today's mobile consumers.
