William Poole, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, said on Friday the U.S. central bank must be on watch against its traditional worry of inflation and also of deflation, a broad drop in prices. "The Fed needs to be alert to deflationary as well as inflationary dangers in the months ahead,"

In other news he wanted the FED to be alert for the Boogey Man, Mismatched socks, and a dog named Ralph.

Unfortunately hed did not state what action the FED would take if any of these showed up, but rest assured the FED is alert for all of these possibilities.

For sure...as Doug Noland has (repeatedly) pointed out, when you've caused a financial system to become as fragile as ours is, you've gotta be wary of yer own SHADOW, not to mention heavy footfalls or sneezing, lest the whole House of Cards tumbles down....
