Sam, my data comes from Dorsey Wright, www.dorseywright.com. It is a subscription which I have subscribed to for approximately four years at $25 per month.

I have the spreadsheet of what has happened for the above years. The DW semi's as can be seen moved extremely from the 8% to the 74% on the Bell shaped curve in less in approx. 7 weeks. However, in comparing the DW sectors with the 197 subsectors of the IBD we can see that the semi manufacturers is in the overbought area of 22 high rank while the semi equipment makers are still in the oversold area of 149 rank out of a low of 197. A few weeks ago the manufacturers were at 8 rank while the equipmakers were at the 196 ranking. Check the 197 industrial group rankings of the IBD.

It is quite revealing.
