gotta run...... go here, and do a search for "migraine methysergide" (no quotes). you'll get hints about why Novartis might have taken such action and you can look for other drugs that might be similar in mechanism......

I know this isn't the kind of answer you're looking for, but has she thought about meditation? Are you familiar with Jon Kabat Zinn's stress reduction work at the UMASS medical center in Worcester? Meditation doesn't necessarily reduce the pain, but increases ones ability to cope with it. Sometimes this results in less severe symptoms.
