Yes, underlyingly there is a moral concern, not because Lott is likely to have quite meant what he appears to have said, but because segregation deserves condemnation, not being kicked under the rug. Ignoring that Strom's candidacy was all about segregation, and endorsing it, is itself morally wrong. I feel strongly about the Confederate battle flag being used officially. It has no place in state flags, for example......
