I only did it for 2002- Which has been bear market for the most part. Some say it still is, actually it may be a majority that say it still is.

Now if we could get a stat-type person to do a little programming, we could check it during various periods.

As for this yr, the tue-fri pattern performed best in Q4, Oct.1 to present, and was worst in Q2. This was only buying on tuesday closes that were lower than the prev. friday's.

Q1: +3%
Q2: -3%
Q3: +8%
Q4: +15%

Not spectacular by any means, but pretty solid for long side trading in a negative year..

I tried the same method with the NDX, BTW- It came out with similar results, only 2X greater losses and gains.
