Bush Sr wasn't protecting SA; he was using SA as staging area to attack Kuwait.

He was doing both. There was some concern that Iraq would roll on to Saudi or at least try to control Saudi through threat and intimidation. The second was much more likely but the threat of the first could not be 100% ignored, esp, once the US intervened to free Kuwait, and even the 2nd is something that we couldn't really allow.

This is only somewhat correct. SA was legitimately concerned that if we (the US) did not eject Iraq from Kuwait then Iraq would just roll on into SA -- and we had the same concern as well, since this would have created a much more severe national security problem for us.

If that is what you believe, then you are an idiot. The first initial troops and planes were rushed in to stop any potential invasion of SA.

Tell that to D.Ray. When he blames 9/11 on OBL and not Clinton, then I will blame OBL and not Bush Sr. ;~))

There you go again with your "Dave made me do it." excuse. What difference does it make what Dave said? You are acting like a child, blaming everyone else for his actions. Next thing you will be telling me it depends upon the definition of what is is.
