It is funny. Does % gain or actual gain matter.
You could also triple up on OTM stuff for the same gain but the advantage of ITM options is you have the luxury of time to be correct, especially with leaps. What is the risk of triple position OTM stuff vs ITM stuff. Of course on a huge move the leverage will make you a huge hero or huge goat as opposed to a hero or goat. But if you are just trading a contract or two, then straight futures or ITM options are the way to go. Futures not allowed in an IRA so I have to do it with options.

On the next bounce to 910 or so I will buy a few leap ITM SPOOS puts and try and hold the damn things. Getting out of the way only if I see am max pain rally coming.
