I think the media has done an awful job reporting this story.

Blix criticism of Iraq was quite scathing. He called the declaration a "missed opportunity" for Iraq. UN Resolution 1441 reinserting the inspectors clearly states that Iraq is in material breach of the Gulf War UN resolutions. The point of Blix's assignment is not to prove Iraq has WMD but for Iraq to prove it does not. Blix acknowledges they had not removed all WMD when forced out in 1998. And the declaration fails to provide any clue as to what happened to the ones they did not get. Significantly it is known that more than 24 liters of weapons grade anthrax is unaccounted for. This is enough anthrax to kill millions.

No, but I heard he wants Washington to provide his inspectors proof of Iraqi breach of resolution. But such proof would compromise our intelligence sources.
