I cannot contribute if every spontaneous comment becomes an object of scrutiny, and I am not allowed to show any exasperation, engage in any teasing, or make any attempt at wit. I cannot even fathom how a two line post could be serious thread bloat, with some of the dreadfully long, tendentious pieces that are posted here being acceptable. I cannot fathom how it is particularly wrong to note that I have more confidence in professionals on the front lines than in karen's unsupported opinion. I am baffled how one can consider the political opinions of a major backer of The Nation irrelevant: if she did not find the magazine compatible, why would she put money into it. Since, therefore, I cannot understand any longer what is acceptable and what is not, I think it is better to say "Happy Holidays", and walk away.......

I don't have a URL but WLS Chicago talk radio has reported that the incident where 2 Air National Guard pilots from Springfield bombed and killed 4 Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, they were on amphetamines. This is official SOP for extended flights and may have some bearing on their trial.
