The insinuation was that every Republican is either racist or conciously supporting racism.

I won't argue against your personal experiences. I'll just say that in my personal experiences, I've also seen my fair share of racial slurs tossed back-n-forth. This was especially true back at my alma mater, even though the campus literally prides itself over its diversity. Heck, even Spike Lee himself once directed a racial slur at me personally. (It wasn't too serious, and I took no offense. I'll tell you about it later, if you want.)

I'm not worried. "Good 'ole boy" networks are very inbred, which usually leads to their demise. Trent Lott's comment is an example, though I don't like the overreaction to it any more than I like the comment itself.
