How do you find time to follow all that?

No problemo, senior. My allocation is:

40% golds, 42% energy (7/8 of than in gassers), and 18% cash.

Over a 3 week period, raised golds from 17% to 40% completed with my last big buy - MNG - a week ago Wednesday. No buys or sells in the golds since.

Did buy a partial position in GW this week. There are many different styles and techniques to trading successfully.

Running with the lowest cash levels since Sept of 2000 per post a week ago Wednesday.

IMO the real question is what is your preferred holding period(s)?

If your work is mostly ST? Then your allocations will shift more often than mine as my preference is to stick with longer Intermediate holds - WHEN the market provides those opportunites. When it doesn't? Then I'll shift to more trading around core positions which was in fact the case till 2 months ago in the gassers and one month ago in the golds.

Did you buy back the MNG you sold a week ago Wednesday? It's had a great run since then.

VT, what do you have in Japan? Last year at this time I had JOF, but this year it is trading at a premium.
