I wish I could share any of that optimism....after 100's of people were thrown in jail here in California by the INS for voluntarily coming to the offices to pay fines and register. It's out of control. And with Renquist still the chief justice (caps missing), there is little chance of supporting the Constitution with a life long devout racist at the head of the Supreme Court. His disgusting record is now coming out again. The only good thing that may come of all this is that W's current cadre of prejudiced juror candidates for many lower courts will face incredible scrutiny. This may at least roll back his onslaught of right wing judge nominations. CC
