The Democrats are coming to a serious pressure point as the new Senate session gets underway. Their two choices are at the extremes: Filibuster everything including the morning benediction, or make an attempt to return to the "loyal opposition" days of Truman, Kennedy, Humphrey: men who knew which country they backed. Not all Democrats are William the Bastard or his little Stalinist wife. Those more intelligent and loyal ones will need to make a choice. If they can't bring themselves to return to the nation the swore they'd serve, retirement is their only option...
