You have to admit, deregulation is a good theory. Peace believed it would work as advertised.

In the video he released this summer, he claims he never thought it would work, and only carried the legislation because he thought an even worse bill would pass if he didn't sponsor his version. In subsequent years, he will probably start claiming he wasn't even there, it was his evil twin Skippy, etc. The reality, of course, is that this legislation passed because the energy industry bought and paid for the politicians, who in turn appointed weak and mentally-challenged regulators. How else do you explain Coin-Op Davis' decision to appoint Moonbeam Brown's cousin to the PUC during the height of the energy "crisis"?

BTW, you have my complete support in your efforts to string up the Texan rascals now in Washington-I just don't want the ones closer to home to get a pass.
