I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow night, operation corral the collie goes into action.

A collie has been roaming the area for over a year now, gone wild, and now has a hurt leg. We gave the neighbor who see's it the most some canned dog food and now it's eating in her yard at dark every evening. It sleeps in a swale between a cornfield and a timber.

The plan: Tomorrow night the food has a Mickey. Quick, short lived knock out drops. Dog eats food, heads for home. We scour the swale and corn field, find said dog, hypo in a long sleepy drug. Dog is put in one of our carry crates and hauled to vet 1 who fixes the critter. Dog gets moved to vet 2 for the 9 day quarentine. Dog is hauled to the Collie Rescue Center in Chicago for retraining and a new home.

It rained but not heavy.
There was plenty of room inside for everyone to be under cover. It was a fabulous festive party.
