I have, actually. I will be pleased to share mine with you, after you offer any support (any reputable support) for your position. My father, bless his heart, took a degree in history with an emphasis in Greek and Roman history. Marcus Aurelius Meditations was one of the first adult books he ever gave me. He shortly after gave me Epictetus complete works, which, you may be interested to know, sustained Admiral James Stockdale when he was a POW. I highly recommend Marcus and Epictetus to you if you have not read them. Every educated person should read the stoics.

But you commented on the subject first. So, since it is such an established fact, please give me some links to reputable historical articles or books on this subject. Then I will post all sorts of links to you.
