Maybe someone should find out the average number of options held by reporting officials at those tech companies. My guess is it is tens of thousands if not much more for each potential"buyer".

Why should they go out and buy more of something they have lots of already?

Then we need to know what % of their holdings the average seller was dumping in these headline episodes. If it was under 10% each, it's irrelevant. Most folks with cheap shares are eager to monetize some on any spike. This whole thread exists to get stocks cheap and flip them on the first swing up.

First folks complain about too many options then they complain that insiders aren't buying enough shares. Something really skewed in that "logic". If you give somebody a freezer full of steaks, are you going to complain when he doesn't run to the store for the big T-bone sale?
