Sooner or later, journalists will start writing about Intel's major problem, which is massive overcapacity.

Intel has new capacity just coming on stream. This is new capacity that Intel does not need. Unfortunately, Intel is in a "high fixed cost" business, so excess capacity is a real bummer as far as the bottom line is concerned. I expect to see plant closure announcements emanating from INTC over the next six months, together with the inevitable "one-time-only" writedowns.
