I'm with you, pal. I don't care much for this time of year. I buy gifts for people I care about all year round, with NO expecations. I'm weird tho..I don't like when my wife gets me stuff. It's not a $ thing, either, because she has plenty of her own.

YOUR gifts are the best.

The "gifts" you mentioned I give all year round. At
Christmas time I give a little more.
Gift giving came along long before "3 wise men took gifts
to the baby Jesus"!
Personally I don't need anything for Christmas. But I do
enjoy the spirit of Christmas and watching eyes light up
when presents are opened.

If the spirit's not there, then IMO Yes, you're being a
Scrooge. :o)
