A typical liberal, doom and gloom. Ok Reagan created huge deficits, I'll take it any time with the next 20 years of growth that he fostered. In fact the Reagan deficits did nothing. The economy was humming along fine until the Clinton Greenspan team feared Y2K and pumped massive amounts of money to avert what they thought was impending disaster, they didn't even ask their boy genius, the man who invented the internet, Al Gore how bad it would be. I bet he would have been smart enough to tell them there would be little impact ( not really, I have a step stool that's smarter than Al Gore). Then to top of this terrible misshandling, Greenspan decided to slam on the brakes by raising interest rates in 2000, too late, we're still hurting from the Clinton Bubble/bust.

Well then there's a hole in the treasure because Clinton kept racking up debt every year of his administration. Odd surplus. A negative surplus maybe.

Clinton ran a very nice surplus thank you.
