The Arab world was once a mighty, grand, educational, and artistic, culture

It was not. What they (the muslims)had was stolen by them when they conquered enlightened and artistic civilizations. They learned nothing on their own. Those that were enjoyed the fruits of their ill-gotten booty were nobles or aristocrats.

The grassroots of Islam, true to its nature, soon realized this. These nobels were soon branded as apostates killed. Thus, islam squandered it's renaissance.

There it has remained, stewing in its own wart.
