vendor financing ... or plugging the channels is the "quid" in the °quid pro quo°. What's the quo now? Sense of security our Big brother is giving us? The consumer of last resort slugging away at our (ie Asian and - much less - European) products? Feeling great because the container ships are still going out? (check the same-store numbers for a refresher) Or is it just tyre marks on the alsphalt of global economy? I have no idea. It just does not yet compute - suspect the perpetuum mobile of credit creation, with the side effect of the risks involved with it spreading out like the proverbial yellow-brown-green mist from the fan.
