A coworker of mine is from from around Birmingham, England. He looks down his nose at our petty American thugs who carry guns and knives. In his home neighborhood, he says if you even look at some 10 year old cross eyed him and his buddies will beat your skull in with the nearest handy brick. The cops wait outside when called to a pub brawl because they'd get killed if they didn't wait for the pub goers to beat themselves silly first. And you should hear his "football" stories, whew.
